Printing your own certificate of origin cuts a multi-day wait to an hour, but only certain types are eligible, the seal is electronic, and paper settings can quietly invalidate the document.
A Form E error does not have a single answer. Correcting and reissuing are different procedures with different consequences. This guide walks through the decision sequence.
Three documents, three product names, three chances of rejection. Name mismatch is among the top rejection reasons for certificates of origin. Here is how the three patterns arise and how to fix them.
The same shipment reads “stainless steel plate” on the origin certificate, “304 cold rolled coil” on the invoice, and “STEEL COIL” on the bill of lading. Any customs officer holding those three at once will stop the file.
Cumulation is the most valuable rule in RCEP and the most misapplied. It treats inputs from another member state as originating, but only if the material itself qualifies and the paperwork proves it.
